Page 1 of Is there a multiregion hack for Playstation 2?

Help, have just got a PS2 to use as DVD player and gamestation, and to my horror it won`t play all those great discs from Play and CD-Wow!

The PS2 seems to be region 2 encoded - does anyone know how to overcome this problem?

You need to buy a DVD Region X or equivalent - this will let you play discs from all regions on your PS2. Should cost between £10-£20.

I have just ordered the Blaze region free disc at the great price of £8.99 But does it enable you to play RCE encoded discs as I cant find anywhere that says it does or does not! Or do I need to by region X disc that plays RCE, doesn`t it?

I am almost certain you need tom mod a part of your PS2 m8.

Its a 1 wire mod i think.
