I tried the DQD 2100D hack as follows

1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the disc tray
2. Using your remote control, press the buttons 0, 5, 2 and 0, in order, one at a time
3. Press the Up button on your remote control
4. Press the Down button on your remote control
5. Press the Left button on your remote control
6. Press the Right button on your remote control
When it comes to entering your region number. You dont need to!

It displays (MULTI REGION) :-) :-) so there is no need for for operation 7
thats listed below................................

7. You should now be able to change the region to 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback.

Just tried this hack on a brand new 8100 Combo and region-free works a treat, any ideas about turning macrovision off?

At present, when pressing the `quick-copy` button im still getting the blue-screen message.....

...as soon as it hits encrypted footage. The only section it will copy is the anti-piracy warning!!! Hmm?
