Is there any way to Get An Alba 108 To Play Region 1 DVDs?

make sure no disc is in tray
Press setup
Press 2812 on remote
A hidden menu will appear
Choose region
Press setup

tried it, and failed, no menu

i am yet to get an R1 dvd to test it but i read somewhere else that the player is multiregion anyway, any truth in this?

Have you got an Alba DVD 108xi???

on the front of te player it just says DVD108

it says DVD 108 on the manual too

is it slim and has a cluster of buttons on one side

Layout?

if so i have the hack and it is:

Open the tray
Press setup
Press 2812
Press Enter

Try this and if it doesnt work try without the "Press setup" part
