Page 1 of help please - how do i get multiregion on JVC XV523GD

please help, bought a load of ntsc dvd`s and can`t play them on my machine. there must be a way.... has anyone managed to hack this one, there seems to be very little info on JVC.

Well these players are not easy to find and so us chippers cant easily get one to work on ... where did you buy yours?

Well I`ve posted this one earlier and it didn`t seem to work.
But maybe if u DID put a region 1 disc in before unplugging it, this will be different.
If we don`t try, we don`t know.

So try this:

Instead of removing the disc from the tray, try placing a region 1 (or 2, whatever region u need) in the player and then...

Unplug the unit from AC source.
While Pressing both "PLAY" and "OPEN/CLOSE" keys together, plug the unit to
the AC source.
"TEST JC1" will be displayed on the flourescent display.
Press "3D-PHONIC" Key.
When "V-REPLACE" is indicated on the FDP, initialization is complete.
Press "POWER" key to exit test mode

Hope it will give better results this time :)
