When I press repeat on the thompson 4200 nuffin happens, can any one tell me why?????????????/

Because you also need to enter the 5-digit code, as it explains in the hack ;-)

Assuming you`ve got a Region 2 version of the 4200, you need to press buttons in the following sequence, starting from the Thomson title screen:

REPEAT, 3, 8, 7, 6, 7

Press the sequence of buttons reasonably quickly, e.g. one button press per second. Don`t take any notice of what is on the screen until after you`ve done the whole sequence. Also, make sure you press REPEAT, not REPEAT A-B.

Once you`ve put in the sequence, you should see `02` in one corner of the screen. Follow the rest of the hack instructions (i.e. press 9 to change to `09`, press OPEN/CLOSE, and so on), and your player will be fully multi-region.
