Doubts about Philips 950 hack

I own a Philips 950 and I have some doubts (I have not trried it yet):
- It´s reversible? If in the future I have problems with R2 discs, can I set back the machine for R2 only?
- Is there a code for R1 only? What if the disc doesn´t accept multiregion mode, only one specific region?
- I read some tiem ago that the region code in the Philips machines can only be modified a limited times, and then it gets stuck in one region. Is that true?
