Apparently the hack for the LG 3350e works with the LG 3200;
I`ve literally just tried it on my machine and it seems to have performed the operation ok, but I won`t know for definate until tomorrow when I borrow some region 1 discs.

In a nutshell, the hack is

With no disc in the drive, do the following from the Remote
Power on
press Pause
type in 3 1 4 1 5 9 (Display should now read CODE --)
type in the region number you want define ( i.e 0 )
press Pause
Power off

now power back up and it should be set.
Note, if at first this doesn`t work, you may have to type in 314159 within 3 seconds (though that may not apply to this model)

HTH

Could you please tell me a way of playing a Region 1 Hollw Man on my DVD machine. All I am getting at the moment is a map showing me boundaries of the regions

THE HACK FOR THE 3350 DOES WORK FOR THE 3200
BUT WAIT UNTIL THE DISPLAY RETURNS TO "NO DISK"
BEFORE PRESSING POWER OFF. SET TO REGION 0
TO PLAY ALL REGIONS WITHOUT NEEDING TO CHANGE.

Ok this hack worked perfectly on my LG3200e after all, I tried `The Matrix` and `The Mummy` (both region 1 discs) and they worked ok.

However a couple of points worth noting for this drive...

Once you have enabled it as region 0 or whatever, ensure the PAL/NTSC switch on the back of the drive is set properly (or to Auto).

Another point that had me pulling my hair out was initially the picture was all black & white (presumably down to the NTSC encoding on the US discs). I was using the 3 phono cables to connect to the TV instead of a SCART plug. This was solved when I connected the drive via SCART to the TV. Oddly enough, the TV has 2 scart sockets (AV1 & AV2), and will only produce colour on the AV1 connector...

Mooooooo!
