Page 1 of video cd`s on dvd-511

Does anyone know of a brand of cdr`s that will work on a samsung dvd-511. Ive tried dozens but all i get is disk invalid or disk not loaded. The only success i`ve had is with 2 unbranded silver disks which are really pale green underneath, but i can`t remember where i got em from or what brand ( if any ) they are.
Tried kodak, vabertim, philips and basf all with no luck at all.
