Page 1 of Hack for Philips DVDR70
Hack Help Forum
I realise this has been posted before and it requires the 750 hack but there are some questions regarding DVDR`s. In the instructions in the region hack section it states that on some DVDR`s you may have to try a different code and that also you may have to set your remote default to either play mode or record mode?
I was just hoping that one of you guys out there may have done a hack on a DVDR70 recently and can let me know exactly what procedure to follow.
I realise I need a one-for-all and already have one I can borrow.
Cheers in advance
I have tried this
play 159 121 212 005 255 play
but it did`t work
I tried the magic 085 version as well
neither worked
play codes worked on my old DVD 710 but I`ve had no joy on my DVDR70
play 159 222 222 005 255 was the old play hack if that is any help
I`ve seen other people on other sites having our trouble also
if you get another code let me know
I`ve sorted it now!
Firstly you MUST go into your machines menu and switch the remote setting from the default which is record mode to play mode (you can change it back later) - see towards the back of instruction manual on doing this.
Then the one-for-all (i used a one-for-all 6) hack using the magic 085 code works - enter
195 121 212 005 255 play and it works perfectly!
Fully region Free :)
I`am afraid i`m new at this
I`ve followed your instuctions as best I could, but when useing my new one for all (urc 8060,kameleon) it was expecting a 4th digit(it just sat there after I entered 085)
Please could you break down the sequence for someone with a technical I.Q of 5

Hi Paul,
Just checking out your DVD hack for Philips DVDR70.
I have used the standard region hack for my old DVD-750 and it worked fine but I am having great difficulty trying to configure my one for all 6 remote to the correct code to operate the Philips DVDR70.
If I knew this code I would be able to have a go at your hack to make my new player region free as I cannot seem to find it using the search method suggested on the one for all manual.
Could you possibly post this 4 digit number so I could try the hack.
Thanking you in advance for any help that you can give me regarding same.
John
