HELP!!! PANASONIC DVD LS5 HACK. CAN ANY ONE HELP ME AND TELL ME HOW TO HACK THE PANASONIC LS5 DVD PORTABLE PLAYER. NEED ONE FOR A MATE IN IRAQ.

Good Question! - Looking at a multi region portable, this Panasonic seems great quality, however only seems to be available via `chipping` rather than by code. This is the only Panasonic hack I could find. Please let me know if this works at all.

1. Remove DVD/CD from your drive.
2. Press the following keys on your remote:
[ACTION] [1] [>=10] [6] [4] [3] [8]

3. A new menu option will appear named Other followed by four stars. Use one of the following codes to:
3192 -> Multi-Region Enable
3193 -> Macrovision Disable

If you locked your player by pressing [4] instead of [1] after pressing [ACTION], this will also unlock your player

hi could you tell me how to get the (action) key on my remote for the ls5 i cant seem to find it thanks

I have the above portable but failed to find any key called "action", so I`m a bit stumped. I wonder if anyone else succeeded in unlocking this machine? Jeremy B

Sorry but those codes only work if you use a service disc first! Service discs only work on pre 2002 models, not on newer generation machines such as the LX5:( To mod the newer machines you need a service remote (if you didn`t buy it modded).
