Page 1 of HELP! need to get a hack for a Bench KH6777 dvd player

Just bought a great looking dvd player from Lidl for £37.99 with great picture and a dts/dolby digital decoder built in .
Would be greatfull for your help in getting a multiregion hack for it . :)

Using your remote control

1)Power On DVD
2)Open Tray
3)Enter on the remote key pad 2812
4)A Menu now appears on the screen select the appropiate region 1, 2 etc (9 is all region)

When you do the hack that Helene suggested, the details that comes up in the screen says Macrovision On/Off, VCD On/OFF and the option of changing the Regions (ie Region 9 for multiregional).

I havent tried the Macrovision hack as we dont have a video recorder downstairs, but as far as I am aware it does work.

I cant try the macro hack until after xmas, its supposed to be a prezzy!!

I`ve tried the hack, opened tray, pressed 2812, menu popped up, with Regions highlighted. Unfortunately, when I press buttons2or 9- or whichever, to try to change regions, I get no response from the machine! (Macrovision was fine- could select that no problem, but regions remained stubbornly 2!)

Anybody got any thoughts? I`d appreciate them!
