Page 1 of thomson DTH4000 CRACKED BUT STILL PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!

i have successfully cracked the dth4000 but I now have dashed white lines across the top of the screen and a grey band along the bottom when playing region 1 disks.
HHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it`s your TV that`s at fault here.

Many TVs will display a 525-line, 60Hz picture (such as from a NTSC source) but don`t adjust their geometry to match. Hence you get a slightly squashed picture with the effect you describe.

The Samsung 511 (which the Thomson DTH-4000 is a clone of) has an option to enable PAL-50Hz output from NTSC discs, which you do by changing the Quasi-PAL setting in the Display Options menu to OFF. This would solve your problem (until you can afford a new TV, that is).

The Thomson version may not have this setting (or it may be called something else), but check and see anyway.
