Hello all,

I just purchased the above dvd player and unfortunately I cannot find a multiregion hack anywhere. This is a disaster as half my dvd collection are not region 2`s.

Can anyboby help with this dilema?!?

Hello,

I`m in the same boat!! I found the following info but not sure what to do with it yet, if you work it out please let me know!!!

=======================================
This is the firmware screen from my player. How do you get to see yours?

Easy...follow these simple instructions:

Press "Setup" on the remote, and highlight "TV Aspect"

Place the cursor on "16:9 Wide" and enter the following code on the Remote

1397139

Press "Enter"

It`s that simple. Credit for finding this hack

This was posted as a vcd hack but it did not work on and it may be a macrovision hack.

1. Remove all dvds from the player and trun it off.
2. Trun "POWER" on
3. Press "PAUSE"
4. press "1472"
5. press the up arrow three times.
6. press "PROGRAM", "6", "PROGRAM" "5"
7. press "ENTER"
8. press "RETURN"
9. turn the "POWER" off and then on again

Macrovision should now be disabled.

I cannot change the region, do you know how i can make this player read region 1 or region all

Region code and Macrovision hack posted by skippy, December 31 2003:

yes i have suffer the same problem that you speak about, but like i said i have noticed that there are two possible ways to hack the region .
The first one is to hack the hadrware see below:-

http://homepage3.nifty.com/~kei_nifty/NS530.htm

this explains how to change/alter voltages to surface mounted resistors. "i think there is also a file showing eeprom details (but unsure)".

perhaps the other is to swap version no`s ,and eeprom setting plus also which region it was originally =

without crashing your warranty i suggest helping me with option 2 ...(sharing eeprom hex codes and versions).

hope this helps
skippy :)

Good luck!!

nice to no people are using my posting from vcdhelp ...

keep up the looking lads ,its got to be out there somewhere .
i`m in convierence with a kier from japan who deals with a hardware mod for these players ie:- sony /aiwa .
I`ve emailed the pcb and he should get back ,but dont count on that .
(it may be done by rectifing the surface mount resistor values the current values
are 104 ,a blank ,and zero .
I will endavor to find out which one does what so keep posted .

MEAN WHILE WHY NOT CHEK OUT THE INSIDES
(may be a repairman mght shine some light...!)
