Page 1 of i give up! (daewoo ds2000d)

hello,

ive tried just about every hack for every dvd player on the market and i still cant get the dawoo ds2000d to play region 1. does anyone know where i could get my machine chipped, or if its even possible to do that,

Not sure that this will help but have a go.

1. Turn on player with no disc in and press "stop".
2. Press "setup", "title", "step" and "next". You are now in the engineer`s menu.
3. Scroll to the very bottom until you get to REGION. In REGION go down to bottom and select BYPASS. You are now region free.
4. Just above REGION is something called MACROVISION. This will be set to auto but if you turn it off you can now make great "backups" of you DVDs on VHS or whatever through the video out.

The model this worked on was the daewoo dqd2000 & dhc 2200
