Page 1 of Goodmans Combi DVD - GTV34RDVD - HACKS NOT WORKING!!!

Hi, I`ve tried the 1369 and 1379 codes and a few others I found on the internet but get no response from my TV/DVD. I`ve picked up along the way that there are different versions of the same player so here`s a link which is for a picture of the menu my DVD Player has, if that helps. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Jake

this definately works i just got this tv/dvd so i know this works:-
1) Hit setup.
2) *Go to the Preference tab
3) Type 1, 3, 7, 9
4) Hit the up/down arrow to change the region number (0=multi region)
5) Hit enter
6) Hit setup.
7) Play!

try one of the following
try the open draw and press 2812 for possible secret menu

or

eject so tray is open
stop 1 9 9 9 - for possible hidden menu
stop 1 4 5 6 - followed by region code number 0=all
i.e. stop 1 4 5 6 2 for region 2
or stop 3 3 5 8 - followed by region code number 0=all
i.e. stop 3 3 5 8 2 for region 2

or
open tray
Stop 1 4 5 6 followed by region i.e for region 2
press stop 14562 - use 0 for all regions
or alternatively try
open tray
Stop 3 3 5 8 followed by region i.e for region 2
press stop 33582 - use 0 for all regions
open tray
stop 1 9 9 9 for hidden menu or possibly
stop 2000 or stop 2001.

or
1. Press the DVD function on your TV set.
2. Press Setup on your remote control.
3. Press 1, 3, 7 and 9, in order, one at a time.
4. Select this option and using your remote control, change it to 1
for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago Goodmans GTV34RDVD
My machine fails all the 1369/1379 hacks but this one worked, similar to that used for the ALBA TVD3450 which I found on another site.

Mine uses a CheerTek DVD chip CT9928AF.
There seems to be more than one around given the different hacks that seem to work for other people.

This works on mine :)
1) Switch to DVD mode
2) Press Setup on remote
3) Press Next (one remote) 4 times to open version screen shows version2 on top right hand corner
4) Use arrow keys on remote control to change to 255 for region free
5) Press SETUP on remote control to save setting

Tested with region 1 disk which works fine.
