Page 1 of PANASONIC DMR E30 HACK (HAVE YOU TRIED IT)

Hello has anybody tried the following hack??? i found it with other handset hacks for panasonic dvd players ! the reason i ask is i have been offered a dmre30 but need it to be multi region and if this doesnt work then will have to consider looking for a different dvd player,
turn on player with no disc inserted,
while pressing shift on the remote press setup,
press enter twice,
move the cusor to other,
enter the appropriate region setting (begging with 000),
press enter,
press return twice,
switch unit off for at least 3 seconds,
now when you switch unit back on whichever region you selected after the 000 should be the region it will play ! you will need to repeat to put to any other region !!

Doesn`t work for the E50 that`s for sure. No setup on the remote for a start (its in the menu)

There`s god knows how many posts on this forum all confirming that you can`t remote-hack Panasonic machines. Yet people still come up with so called hacks or worse still continue to ask, "PANASONIC HACK URGENTLY REQUIRED PLZ!!!!!!!"

i was told my my mates cousin these machines can only be made multiregion by a firmware cd which panasonic agents/retailers have to purchase for loads of wonga when i bought my e50 it came allready multiregion which was good but most of the stuff i play is back ups now anyway so they are region 0 no coding on them 8)
