Page 1 of Hack needed for Bush DVD AV11K (from safeways)

Hi,
Can anybody help, I need a hack for the Bush AV11K I have looked on the hack page and didn`t find any links etc.

try this.. and post your results..

1. Open tray door.
2. Press the SETUP button
3. Press NEXT , PREV , NEXT , PREV
4. You will see "Ver 2" on the screen
5. Select 255 for Region Free
6. Press Setup Key to save settings.

I will give it a go and let everybody know the results.

Bought 1 last night and it plays dvd-r `s ( datawrite red v3 discs written on a pioneer 107) No luck with VCD or Svcd though . Anyone know better ?

I bought one yesterday, from Argos. I connected all 6 outputs to the corresponding inputs on the surround sound unit. It plays only on the front left and front right channels. The surround button does nothing. I have changed the sound option on the player to output to 5.1 (it was set to 2 CH) but it`s still not using the sub-woofer or the other 3 speakers. However if I plug in another source on the 2 channel input and switches the surround sound unit to this input the 3D and 5.1 lights are on, all speakers are used and the surround mode can be changed.

Any ideas anyone?

The Hack mentioned above does work


and i have had no problems with the surround sound, however my biggest gripe with this player is that it seems to only play many DVDs intermittently. You might need to take the disk out and put it back several times before it finally reads the disk

maybe this is because the hack does not work that well, or the DVD is faulty

but i have to admit i am starting to regret the day i laid eyes on this

Before anyone asks, yes i have cleaned the player severaltimes. So for anyone considering buying this model please be aware
