Page 1 of Wharfedale 750

I read in the latest issue of What DVD? magazine that:
"It used to be hackable but current players reject the region changing codes."
Could someone please tell me what this means as I have not seen any other mentions of this problem.

it is not true and the old code (open,0,1,2,3,close)will work
