Wharfdale M3 Hack

I have managed to use the hack to enable my wharfedale M3 to play disks from region 1 but for some reason the film will only play in black and white, can anyone help?

Go to setup and change the output to Auto (Region1=NTSC)
Region 2=PalB/G

I know you do have a multi-system tv....don`t you?
