;) Found this hack at a Dutch web site, worked well for me. must use remote for hack to work.
1. press "setup"
2. go to preferences - but do not open
3. press 1,3,7,9 - this will then open the region menu.
4. Select 1 for America, 2 for europe, 0 for multi region, using the up and down arrows.
5. press "play"
6. press "setup"

and voila!!
