Looking for a Philips DVP 520 Multi Region Hack
i`m haveing dificulty finding the hack, the only hack i can see was the one were you go into the system menu and go to preference page but i can`t see any preference page!
hope you can help?

This fooled me as well.

When you go into the system menu, there are five items that you can select. The preferences is the item second from the right which is disabled. In order to enable it, you need to eject the dvd and leave the tray open. Then select system menu and preferences should be available for you to select.

Then you can enter the hack to make your player multi region.

Hi - I have read your posting and want to hack a 520. Do you know what the code is? Amazon are selling a UK model and suggest the following:

DVP520

Press system menu on remote control
Go to preference settings
Press 1,3,5,5,6,6
Press 0
Press system menu on remote to exit

Does this sound right?

THATS THE HACK I USED AND IT WORKS NO PROBLEM.
