Looking for a way of removing the Macrovision protection from above machine
SN 0103-3240-0092-G2B9(000-010D) any ideas greatly appreciated. The Region Hack for the 5001 model worked fine but I`m not too sure if the firmware for that model will. I`ve checked the Liteon website and they say I have the latest firmware already installed which is not surprising as I only bought the machine 08.01.05.

What`s the difference between LVW-5001 and 5002 ??????
I`m looking as well for a way of removing the Macrovision protection from LVW-5002 with SN 0103-3240-0098-G2BD(201-010D) . As you can see on my SN I have upgraded to the new firmware for motherboad and drive after having big problems with some DVD+R`s.
I upgraded on the 19th of January 2005. As you stated any ideas is greatly appreciated.I have a pile of orginal Video tapes to backup now on DVD.
