Page 1 of Philips 710 hack -all in one remote help required!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi

I have been trying to find an all in 1 remote to hack a philips 710 dvd player.The remote requires a magic button and a dvd button to perform hack correctly and i have been trying to locate such a remote.

The cheapest i can find is £29.99 from currys and apart from the fact that the price is ridiculous i wouldent consider purchasing from these people if my life depended on it.I have looked elsewhere and cant find a suitable remote -where can i get my hands on one and still have change from £30?

Try Index or Argos and get the One-for-all 4 digital, I think it`s £24.99 but you can take it back under their 16 day money back thing after putting in the hack.

P.S. I admire your standpoint towards Currys. Is there anyone who hasn`t been ripped off in some way or another by the Dixons Group.

Does the index/argos One-for-all 4 digital remote have both a dvd and magic button?

Hi Xeno,

It`s got an AUX button that can be configured as DVD and a magic button, you can then set it up as per Allan Verths instructions and enter the hack.

I`ve got a Philips 710 and it works with the One-for-all 4 Digital no problem, I can now watch Region 1 films including RCE ones like The Sixth Day.
