I own a Toshiba DVD SD-231 .Most of my DVD`s play in black & white. I have tried checking the connection and your multi-region hack as well. In step 9 it states
"Press the Enter button on your remote control to change the region to 1 for region1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 9 for multi-region playback"
My question: Do I have to press these numbers(1,2 &9) on my remote after pressing Enter or before?

If this does not resolve the issue, can you suggest anything else?

the solution to your problem has nothing to do with the region code.
First make sure that you connect the DVD to the TV using a full wired scart 2 scart. (if you have more than one scart on the TV use AV1 only)
From the Toshiba remote press "setup`
In the menu choose the video out option and set it to RGB
Now you should have colour on all discs.

It seems to have fixed it.
With regards to the multi-region hack, do i need to press" 9" after or before pressing "enter" as instructed in step 9 of the multi-region hack instruction?
