Are there any hacks to make this player multiregional or to make it play CD-R.

Whilst looking for a friend for this Hack...a post in this very forum says that the Hitachi Dv-p305 Hack..listed within these pages works.. good luck

According to the remote hack procedures on the DV-P305, step 6 says to push the "standby" button, but the remote that the DV-P315 comes with doesn`t have that button. Thus, the remote hack didn`t work on 2 different players. Does the hack only work on certain lot numbers? Or does anybody know of a more diffinative hack for this player?

It`s not actually called "Standby", it`s called "DVD Power" or something along those lines. It`s the button you would normally press to turn the DVD player on and off, anyway.
