The Hack is a software hack, which unless you can get hold of the disc`s, you will have to send away to be made multiregion.

I doubt you will get the software though as small companies who make player`s multi-region this way hardly ever give out or sell the disk`s untill the machine is considered oldish.

anyone know how the disc`s are formatted for the player to see the disc as a rom flasher?

I see Hitachi are releasing the 705 next month.

It has : 120x FF/FR, Jog Shuttle on remote & Player, Disc Navigation System while playing, Picture adjust (Sharpness, blacks etc) and a few other things

I wondered why Hitachi left some of these thing`s out of the 505:(

But the core of the 705 is the same so if you can get the multiregion software for 505 it may work on the 705 saving 40 - 50 quid?
