Have anyone idea if Channeltechnology Auto DVD Upgrade Disk
actually works?

I uesed the upgrade disc on a Panasonic A160 and it changed the firmware as they state the Player is Auto Region read and Macrovision disabled

I take it you haven`t tried a branched region 2 disc yet then.......

Where can you get these discs and is it possible to get discs for other players , I`ve always keep hearing of these discs . but usually the rumours have been directed at phillips players or samsung players.

Hi I have a Panasonic A160 DVD and it only plays pal dvd`s.
where can I get this disc that you talk about and will this enable my dvd player to play US dvds..?

Go to www.channeltechnology.com and on the left hand side of site look for panadisk.

Be more specific Chris and name a R2 disk ( that is readily available) that wont play on an auto region modified panasonic player ... I have never seen one ...

Try "Sea of Love"....it also fools a few RCE compatable Sony players.

BTW Its not a true auto mod - the code number that gets typed in switches the player to region 1 (the second digit) with macro and region checking off (the fourth digit bits 1 and 0). Thats why branched R2s don`t work.

I know that .... what message is displayed ??
