Page 1 of JVC XV-E100 Region Free????

Does anyone know how to hack this or even get a region free kit??/

Not seen one yet but the same chip for the JVC521/2/3 and XVS40/42 should work ..... it will be a matter of removing IC403 and fitting the modchip as in these players .....

If the board matches either of those picures exactly the please let me know .. otherwise I need pictures of the board before I can make install pictures

I am afraid that I do not have an answer to the question, more I wondered whether you found out how to do it!! I`m looking to buy one of these myself but have been unable to get at chipped at my usual place. Could you tell me whether the two chips that Steve Hoyle mentioned worked.

I got my XV42 done by www.multizonedvd.com, they should be able to put you on the right track if anything. I`m quite sure that the 42 and the 100 share the same chipset.
