Page 1 of Minato G1 multi region hack

seeing that Minato is based on Whalfdale 750, and looking at the codes.

selecting individual regions is done by entering a 4 digit code on both machines.

now the 750 ALSO has a multiregion hack which uses other button like Zoom, A-B etc.

maybe theres a similar hack for the G1 ???

there may be but no-one has ever found it .... it can of course be chipped for auto region and macro off

Region 1-6

Press open-close,

when tray is open type in 0111
choose region 1-6
now close with the disk inserted,

Sorted a bit cheaper than a chip, also a bit cheaper is a device from sonel.com which turns macrovision off, because unfortunatley it hasnt got a remote hack, and believe me ive tried!!!!!

The Sonel device is certainly not cheaper than a chip (unless you cant fit it yourself) but of course the manual region hack is fine for those who are happy with it
