Page 1 of WHARFEDALE WDP-1210 HACK

Here is the long awaited hack for the Wharfedale WDP-1210 portable dvd player. I think that this hack will work with players from Alco electronics and includes Venturer and Durabrand models maufactured since Nov 2005 that will not accept the 81328 code.

Turn on
Open tray
Enter 3597 on the remote
Select code 9 from this menu with the arrow buttons and press enter
Press menu on the remote and the player is region free.

Worked with my WDP -1210 . :)

I just brought the Durabrand DUR-7 version of this player ($99, Walmart, USA), but unfortunately it was from a February 2006 build, and neither of the two posted hacks work on this release.

Got any inside scoop on the new model?

I used this hack on a WDP 137 portable DVD player and it worked first time.

Anyone know what the other things in the menu mean ?

was thinking about buying the wharfedale wdp 3397b (9" model) rather than the 1210 (10" version)

wasjust wondering whether the hack for the 1210 works for the 3397b as well ?

i`ve just bought the wdp 1210 today

ive tried the hack , that everyone says has worked 1st time for them, but i can`t get it to work for me

obviously i`m doing something wrong(probably really obvious !!!!)

what ive been doing is

1) turn it on
2) open the tray fully
3)type in 3597 on the remote control

after you type in 3597 on the remote, it says a menu is supposed to appear?......but it has`nt done that for me, so i`m not getting the chance to select the region code froma menu

any idea why i`m not getting the region menu appear even though ive followed the instructions to the letter up til that point ?

like i said, i`m probabbly doing something really obvious wrong ?

any help on this would be really gratefully received

the same is happening to us. we are not getting the menu screen up. did you resolve your problem. would be greatful for your help.
