I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop computer fitted with a Toshiba DVD-ROM type SD-C2502. Does anyone know if a multi region hack is avaliable or required for this player. I live in England.

Try the site:

http://www.firmware.fr.st/

I know they have your drive listed and a beta version hack.

Hello Ian:

Were you able to reflash your DVD-ROM using the firmware suggested at the site to your post? I have the same system as yours,
Windows 2000, but when I try to run the firmware it gives a Windows error and quits. Did you have the same problem or were you able to
get around it?

Thanks for any help.

Try using DVD Genie version 4.5 . It allows you to change the region . Open it first manually select the region and then click on RUN . It will select your Software player and play the DVD with the new region setting .
