Confirmation needed that the bush 2004 will play region 1 discs without hack

I have recently bought the bush 2004. I would like confirmation from any owners of this player that it can play US DVDs because it clearly states in the manual that it plays region 2 discs.Please confirm my thoughts on this one . thanks

Yes it is multi-region. I have just brought one and it plays region 1 and region 2 dvds no problem, with no hacks.

The comment in the manual is wrong
