Is there a multi-region hack for the Panasonic SCHT80 system? Very much appreciate any info on this.

Many thanks for your reply - thought so!!!!!!

Dosent have to be chipped --there is a boot disc that can be bought that allows you to play r1 after the disc has been loaded.Cant remember where you can get it but search through these forums and you should find it.I would be interested in 1 myself as my dads player is the scht80.

Okay I`ll rephrase it ... has to be upgraded by either chipping or by a "chipper" using the panasonic service disk on it

just found some info on Pana:DVD service disk that will do the job but the sites all look like they are intended to sell to businesss that do this a number of times.
Looked like it cost 150gbp or 309 Euro depending on the site,
