Page 1 of Goodmans GDVD124 hack

6 months after inputting the remote hack for this player (press 7, press 7, then enter, for the menu) and successfully changing it to a multi-region player that played both my UK & USA discs, it now gives the response of "wrong disc format".
This is so bizarre!
I now have a DVD player that i purchased in the UK (from Argos) that will only play USA discs and VCDs, but not UK DVDs!!!!!
What is going on?!

You say you press 7 then 7 i have another open draw press 7 then 4 enter hidden menu region 13 next page turn macro off. I would try changing it back to region 2 for a day or so then try the hack again you never know

What you say is correct, but doesn`t work for my DVD player. I have to open draw then press 7, press 7, then enter. This allows me to change the region code - but no matter what region i change it to, i still can`t play UK discs - (this is the weird bit - i was able to play UK disks upto last night. My player has become a USA player only! (might be something to do with 31st October!!!!!)
Anyway, this doesn`t explain why my DVD plays USA discs instead of UK disks, when i purchased it in this country as a UK DVD disc player?!

Hi all, I`m in the same boat with my gdvd124. It is stuck on region 3.
I contacted Goddmans but they were no help at all.
Does anyone know how to reset default conditions???
