Page 1 of ALBA RDVD1006 Multi-Region Hack

Hi,

I`m looking for a Multi-Region hack for an Alba RDVD1600 bought from Asda.
I have tried the hack suggested for the RDVD1002 but it doesn`t work with the 1600.

Does anyone have a working hack for the RDVD1600 - I can`t find one anywhere?.



RDVD1002 HACK TRIED:

OPEN DISK TRAY, MAKE SURE EMPTY
CLOSE DISK TRAY
PRESS TV/DVDR
PRESS RETURN
PRESS DISPLAY
ENTER 8880

MESSAGE APPEARS ON SCREEN SAYING REGION-FREE!

unfortunately i can`t get that hack to work. I also have the 1006 and i now can`t watch my family guy :( i did a search before i went to buy my DVD-Recorder for the one i thought i was going to buy and it turned out i came home with a different model (i wanted the 1002 as i`d seen unlock instructions!).

Anyone got a hack so i can watch family guy? Please?

I have a ALBA RDVD 1006 but my problem is that when recording either on instant record or timer it cuts off the sound after approx 90 seconds every time. This is doing my head in at the moment - have you come across anything like this? It also cuts sound off from TV monitor at same time when viewing the recorded channel.
