Page 1 of ALBA DVD 103 marcovision!!!!!!

Hi,
Can the marcovision on the 103 be defeated without inserting a chip into the dvd player I.E. by remote control/entering a code?

Apparently some companies are working on it but at the moment (as far as I`m aware) the only way to disable is to use another piece of hardware sold pretty much by any supplier.

Any news on the Patriot yet Wendy? Have you tried going to the preferences menu without a disc in and changing the country setting?

If this isn`t going to work then I am going to get a refund from Alba. It appears that some Columbia dvds won`t work properly (ie menus etc) - Alba have admitted this and are offering a refund as an in house fix is not going to be produced. Alba seem quite amenable to offering refunds given this.
