ive read on other sites that these players are multiregion out of the box. have you tried it with a region 1 disc to see if it will play it ?

No i haven`t tried it yet as i thought you have to put the code in before you put any disc in as this is what i have had to do before on other dvd player.
Otherwise if you put a disc in before coding it want except the code afterwards that`s why i haven`t done it yet i wanted to see if anybody knew of a code for it.

never had any trouble getting dvd players coded after putting in a different region disc, the only way to find out if is region free or not is to try a disc, to the best of my knowledge trying a disc first doesent stop you changing the code.

Definately region free out of the box. I have one and I`ve tried it with all my different region discs.

Also, divX is fine from a dvr & from a usb stick. :D
