Can someone help me to hack this player??? It`s a region 4(Mexico) brand new player... I can`t cold start it neither...

I need help with this model also. Mine is region 1. I have tried the hack for Samsung 5000/Samsung SV/DVD1E but couldn`t make it work:
When you power up and push the play/pause and ff buttons, you only get a "no disc" message...not anything about language. Also, there is no a/b button in the lower right hand corner. The repeat button is second button under red power button on left hand side and is also the mode button. This remote does not have a standby button either.

This machine would rock if Macrovision could be turned off. As it is, it sucks and I am probably going to return mine. It won`t play my cdr/dcrw movies...but will play mp3 music. At $300, its too pricey for all this limitations. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps!

In what country did you buy the DVD??? I rememeber trying the Samsung 5000 hack I somehow the language menu appeared... but I can`t do it again

I found it...

With DVD select... Try Pressing Fast Foward and Rewind at the same time for 5 seconds. release them and press again for 5 seconds... it will turn off. When you turn it on it will show the language mode in plain blue.

To get the other languaje menu, get the DVD logo, press the same keys for 5 seconds... I will show another menu but it will turn off in 3 seconds.

I just get there, don`t know hoy to change regions... Any ideas are welcome

I purchased mine in the US. I can`t get these menus that you are talking about. I have tried what your wrote and never see a language menu.

oops, okay..I found that menu. You have to push those buttons, on the unit itself, not the remote..and yes, it disappears in 3 seconds.

Well, that`s a little step... now how we insert the "repeat xxxxxx" numbers to make it multiregion like the other samsungs..???

Any advance with this hack???
