Dear All,
Just want to let you know that hack for Silvercrest KH6506 and KH6510 that has been posted before also works for DP-5300x. I just used for my new dvd player and it now plays all region.

These are the step that I followed:
1. Turn the dvd on (will help if the tv is also on so you can see the step on screen)
2. Open the dvd drawer (with no disc on it)
3. Using the remote control press 9999 and wait for a few seconds
4. Now press 9 for region free (when you do this, you will see number 9 displayed on the tv screen over a long bar, above the Silvercrest text)
5. Close the disc tray
6. Turn the dvd off
7. The dvd is now region free and you can enjoy those movies

Hi, I`ve bought the DP-5300x & want to hook my external hard drive to it but it won`t recognise it. Anyone have any suggestions??? Have tried partitioning it and formating to FAT32 but still no joy :(

Irishfirehorse :) Hi, prob solved..just had to tweak the formatting on the hard drive..basically partitioned 30gb of the hard drive & formatted with windows to fat32..the rest I left on ntfs..now when I wanna watch a movie on tv through the silvercrest I just move it to the fat32 section...have fun :)

how did you do. i have a 120gb external disk and i formated it with partition magic 8.

100 gb ntsf and 12 gb fat 32, but still my dvd dont recognise the disk.

please help me.
