Page 1 of crown/oritron macro off help

ok this player seems to go under loads of different names -matsui, goodmans, crown ,oritron amongst others .now i have read that there is a hack to turn off macro but can`t find it anywhere,can anyone help .might be a job for admins

Haven`t got the answer but would like to know what turning off macro achieves. What are macros?

think u find all these players are the same and macrovision is a protection that stops u copying them to vhs

well i`m taking mine back as the drawer locks and only way to open it is to turn off power at the mains

To unlock the draw press,

Menu, 2, 4, 6 the press1

could not be assed to do that ,was not that impressed with it anyway so got my money back,heard dansai is better so might get one of those and they are cheaper

HELPPPPPPPPP, I tried the hack for the Oritron and all it has done is made my music cd`s jump ?? Anybody got any answers ??

Hey i`ve been looking for the hack to disable the macro for my Crown DVD player (same as those sold in sainsburys).
I really want to copy some DVD`s i have, i have already hacked to make it multiregional and also so it plays VCD`s.
If you come across the code can you please email it to me b`cos my Crown also goes under the name of Oritron,goodmans etc.

Hi I`ve been trying to do the VCD hack on my Crown CDV661 but it doesn`t seem to be working. HOw did you manage it?
