Page 1 of Akura ADV11S

My wife recently purchased this player for me and ive looked everywhere i can think of on the internet for a region hack, a week ago i was looking for a new telly to go with the player:o) and came across a BlackDiamond BD30DVD that looks identical to the Akura of mine, can anyone tell me if the gubbins inside are the same( as ive read that the BD30 is region free straight from the box)

M8 i probably work for the retailer u brought this dvd from did u get the tv to match...Yes the Akura is indeed region free RCE comp..This machine does survive under various other names aswell.. However if u find a macro hack please let me know....

I ended up buying a panasonic 32dk1 telly coz it was cheap due to being discontinued, i will keep an eye out for macro hack, and she bought it from Courts as we had a £50 voucher from when we got the sofa.

My wife too has brought a Black Diamond BD30DVD which I think is made by Mitsubishi. If anybody knows of a multi region or macrovision code please let me know, also is it possible to play MP3`s direct from a disc?

Peej you don`t need any code for making it multi region because it is region free and compatiable with RCE discs and yes it does play mp3 from a disc... The black diamond and Akura player are the same machine. Black diamond from powerhouse and the Akura from courts where i work... oh Wolves rule....

IS THERE A CONTROL CODE TO DISABLE THE MACRO AND IF THERE IS WHRE CAN I GET IT FROM

Dumb question but is it macrovision that`s making my VCD on CDR playback shaky and unwatchable? the audio plays ok. I`ve tried CDRW instead but get the same problem.

If it is, has anyone found how to disable it on the Akura yet?
