Page 1 of Reversing multi-region hack on Samsung SV-DVD1E DVD-VHS combo.

Does anyone know how to reverse the region-free hack on this dvd player?

I followed the instructions in http://www.dvdreviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/full/samsung5000.asp to convert the player to region free but now I want to set it back to region 4 - australia.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW. The region-free hack at the above web page worked fabulously.

Just a guess here, but if you did the hack, and at the appropriate time entered "9", you made it RO, multi region......

so if you now want an R4 only machine...redo the hack and enter "4" instead of "9"?

I have tried to enter the code sequence as if I still had a region 4 player, but this doesn`t work. Step 3 says you need to know the current region setting of the player so that you can use the right code sequence. It doesn`t however list a code sequence for "region free".

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the samsung sv-dvd1e, I also put it to multi region. I unpluged it took it to a friends house to watch a film, when i got there it no longer played multi region and i can not get it to go back to multi region. It was unpluged for an hour try it on yours and let us.
