Is there a Macrovision hack for the Samsung M301 that actually works?

No. You cannot disable Macrovision via a hack on the newer Samsung players - it only works on the older models like the 709 and 909.

celcoj,

Are you saying that there is a hack for the Samsung M301, but that
I need to use an AIWA remote to perform the hack? Your reply was
not clear.

I was wondering if what you meant was to use Samsung remote. If so,
the buttons you mentioned in your reply are not found on the Samsung remote.

A detailed reply would be much appreciated :)

Hi.

Actually I tried using the aiwa remote (my sound device is an aiwa) I pressed Sleep and the DVD shows some information about the DVD player including the DVD zone, but I could not find the way to change it. I pressed clock three times as I read but It did not show changes. I put the DVD (Region 4) inside and I got nothing. Actually I noticed some keys in the Aiwa remote really makes some the DVD status changes or even Cold start, but, not multiregion.

Any advice would be appreciated.
