Just purchased the above from Richer Sounds but the multi-region hack does not work.
Has anyone else got the same problem or a new hack?

If u got it from Richer Sounds u probably got the same badly written sheet of paper as i did, after about half an hour of trying i worked it out so here goes:

1. Press "setup"
2. " "menu"
3. " "next"
4. " "stop"
5. " "pause"
6. " "previous"
7. " "next"
8."loophole menu appears"
9. select "region id"
10. select "bypass"
11. press "setup"

If you have to do the hack yourself is the "multi-region" machine different to the one sold as a region 2 only machine? No point paying for just the hack in my view!

I think they are all multi-region despite what it may say on the box.

I hacked mine last night and it worked first time. It seems that most of these cheap Chinese players are made that way so that they can easily sell them world wide without special hardware. Presumably the local distributor hacks each one.

Whatever, it makes life cheap and easy for us :-)
