I have been trying to hack into my sony dvp-ns300 for a while now with no joy, however, I have just received any email from a fellow hack hunter who has given me the following hack to try:

To switch to a new region:

Put your player in standby mode and then enter:
[0] [ENTER] Default Default region code
[1] [ENTER] or [UP] [ENTER] Region 1
[2] [ENTER] or [RIGHT] [ENTER] Region 2
[3] [ENTER] or [DOWN] [ENTER] Region 3
[4] [ENTER] or [LEFT] [ENTER] Region 4
[5] [ENTER] or [TITLE] [ENTER] Region 5
[6] [ENTER] or [DVDMENU] [ENTER] Region 6
[7] [ENTER] or [RETURN] [ENTER] Region 7
[8] [ENTER] or [DISPLAY] [ENTER] Region 8

Unfortunatly, I haven`t got any dvd`s apart from region 2 so I don`t know whether it works or not, i`ve been relutant to buy any because of all the previous messages saying that this dvd can not be hacked.

Please let me know if it works.
