Page 1 of LECSON 900DVD

I have recently purchased a LECSON 900DVD. I understand this uses the old Wharfedale 750s hack for region 1. I have now read that in the old wharfedale 750s this code will not allow it to play region 1 discs with RCE e.g. the Patriot.

Does any know if the hack on the LECSON will allow RCE coded discs.

This isn`t true, neither of these players have problems with RCE and the old hack can be used to set a specific reagion anyway.

Can anybody tell me the hack for this dvd player. I have tried open tray 0,1,2,3 then enter as Wharefdale 750 but this does not work. Can anybody help?

the hack is

11111 for r1 and
11112 for r2 etc

heres a few probs ive found with this great player,anyone else got the same?

dvd drive is a tad noisy
when i set picture up to auto, play a pal disc,put another pal dick in it keeps going back to ntsc.this doesnt happen if i set it to pal.
and last prob
i have the sound going from my lecson to my digi theatre using a tosh link cable with it outputing using bitstream but when i play a dolby stereo disc(id)it outputs no sound the same when i play mp3`s.i have to connect the l and r audio jacks up to my spare input on my amp.

1. Drive a bit noisy
A little bit, mostly on loading, but then I sit a good few feet away from it, so its not a problem for me.
2. Picture problem.
No, haven`t had that one and I`ve gone from NTSC disk and then to two PAL disks in one session with it set on Auto.
3. Sound problem.
Yes, had that one on "Sleepless in Seattle" which has a Dolby Surround soundtrack, not a Digital one. Go to the sound Menu and change the output from Bitstream to PCM, then everything should play okay.
