Page 1 of Orion 2000 JMB 3000 Black&White Mystery Solved

Since originally posting the Region Free hack on the board some time ago, I have noticed people complainin they can only get a black and white picture. The advice has been to go back into the hidden menus and set colour to PAL. This only goes part way to solving the problem as the colour is then still controlled by the customer setup menu. First go into the hidden menu using the hack and set colour to manual and then colour setting PAL. Insert a disc and if it is NTSC but displaying black and white stop the disc so you return to your blue screen and then press SETUP on the remote - option 9 should be colour setting, switch to manual and PAL in this menu and there is no longer a conflict in the machine et voila colour.
