Page 1 of Alba DVD103xi

Hi I have just brought a alba DVD103xi from argos, which looks different to the picture on this website, and all, and it won`t play any of the DVD`s that are region 1 that i have can anyone help or is this region 2 only.

Also have an Alba, suddenly it changed regions (no idea how) and won`t read my region 2 DVD`s (that means all of them!) if you find ANY codes that could help please forward..

Hi,

I stumbled accross this Region Hack (which works), when I noticed the similarity to the MEDION 4310 Operating software. (I assume that the 0 could be replaced with a specific region for RCE discs)

To change the region

1. Power up
2. Open tray
3. Press SETUP
4. Press 0 for "region free"
5. Press PAUSE
6. Press I<< (STEP BACK) button under SLOW/R
7. Press >>I (STEP FORWARD) button under SLOW/F
8. Press SETUP


This will stay as region free even when powered down.
