Panasonic RV60EBS/Hitachi505E
Sorry if this is naive.
Is my money well spent on Panaasonic or should I look at something else? Where/how do I multiregion Hack it?
Hitachi looks good (Ironduke says so) is this a better bet, its cheaper. Do I have to hack it? If so where/how
All comments greatly appreciated

If you have a panny RVS 60 you have a very good player, especially in the sound dept, where it is considered the best in it`s price range.
if you where to upgrade your next player would be one of the £500+ players.
HITACHI ROCKS!!!

RE: Panasonic RV60EBS/Hitachi505E
Thanks for comments. Is the panny really better than the Hitachi (unbiased opinion please - is there a noticable difference in video quality - I will notice a difference if there is one). Everyone on this forum is raving about the Aiwa 370 which is 1/2 price and easily hackable, it seems to have the features but how does picture and sound quality compare - oh dear what do I do!
RE: Panasonic RV60EBS/Hitachi505E
Why do you want to exchange your RV60?
I bet alot of Budget owners would swap you tommorrow!
I doubt the AIWA`s picture is as good as the RV60.
Stay away from the 505 at the moment, HITACHI have some MPEG issues, the 705 seem`s to not be effected by this, I seriously doubt it`s AUDIO is on a par with the RV60 but it does give you CDR/CDRW/MP3/unseen layer change.
Once again why do you want to get rid of a lovely player?
HITACHI ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

I`m not getting rid of RV60, just want to buy best without paying silly money. Looks like RV60 is best bet - where do I get it hacked? Thanks for advice.
RE: Panasonic RV60EBS/Hitachi505E
I have just bought a Panasonic RV60 from Techtronics.com. It is multi-region and has many other features like DTS decoder built-in and only cost £350 incl. VAT, and also Panasonic are giving a bonus of 3 free films, including "Gladiator" at the moment! I`ve been doing a lot of shopping around over the last few months, and have not seen an offer to compare to this. The picture and sound are superb so you can`t lose. The only thing is that I think they are out of stock from Techtronics until the end of January. Check out their web-site though.
