Page 1 of daewoo 6000 ..help !

My Daewoo 6000 won`t play the first SVCD disc I`ve tried in it. It only
displays what looks like the file folder structure when it tries to play.. Any thoughts please ?

yea ..i too have had the same prob with a few discs...and a lot of blocky ness in some places ......i returned the first machine thinking this is a fault with the machine ..second one does this aswell ...everything played fine on my dansai 1010

I contacted Daewoo themselves, and they told me it was due to the discs being formatted with CD+ or CD Extra..these are used widely in the UK, but not in Asia where the machine is manufactured, so it can`t play the disc...so unfortunately, the machine has had to be returned...shame cos it looked good, and in other respects worked well.
